Asia Nicolette Ashley is a Creative based in Seattle, WA.

Asia Nicolette Ashley (she/her) is a Chicago-born writer, artist, and community facilitator based in Seattle. Her work explores identity, origin, memory, and Black interior life through lyrical poetry and speculative storytelling. She is an Imagining America Publicly Active Graduate Education (PAGE) Fellow, and her practice brings people together through readings, workshops, and curated gatherings that treat conversation as a form of care. Food is central to her method. She uses meals as an entry point for story, reflection, and collective witnessing, drawing on the ways recipes carry lineage when official archives fail.

Alongside her creative work, Asia brings over a decade of experience in marketing and communications, supporting mission-driven organizations and creatives. She is the founder of ANUE Brand, a consulting practice focused on authentic branding, strategic partnerships, and community-centered engagement.

Asia is completing her MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics at the University of Washington Bothell, where she is developing a hybrid thesis, Sites of Return, that weaves poems, art exhibits, found documents, and narrative into a near-future project about memory, erasure, and what survives in and out of community.
